(28 June 2017) — Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Lukfook” / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 00590) is committed to contributing to the society. The Group has participated in the “Walks for Millions” held by The Community Chest of Hong Kong for consecutive years to help needy people improve their living environment.

Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Group, said: “Over the years, the Group has actively fulfilled its corporate social responsibility and supported charity activities. We are pleased to participate in this year’s charity walks together with our kind-hearted employees and their families, bringing warmth and positive energy to those in need.”

The Group proudly sponsored the “New Territories Walk for Millions” as one of the VIP teams that embarked on the meaningful six-kilometer charity walk.  More than 30,000 walkers participated in this year’s walks. The fund raised will be allocated to support needy families, assist family members in establishing mutual support, and maintain and strengthen family bonding. In 2016/2017, The Community Chest of Hong Kong will allocate over HK$35 million to support 24 member social welfare agencies in providing “Family and Child Welfare Services”.
