(15 December 2016) —Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Lukfook” / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 00590) is pleased to announce that the Group was awarded three “Qualifications Framework Partnerships” commendations by the Education Bureau of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), in recognition of its contributions in promoting “Recognition of Prior Learning”, developing “SCS-based Courses” and adopting the “Qualifications Framework” in manpower development. Four of the Group’s employees received the “Award Scheme for Learning Experiences” commendation for their outstanding performance in the industry.

The “Qualifications Framework” is an industry-recognized professional qualification launched by the Education Bureau of HKSAR. Candidates who successfully pass the reviews or assessments can receive certificates for recognition. So far, more than 300 staff have participated in the “Recognition of Prior Learning” assessment under the “Qualifications Framework”, and two training courses, “Certificate in Quality Customer Service and Jewellery Knowledge (QF Level 2)” and “Certificate in Advanced Jewellery Knowledge (QF Level 3)”, have been approved by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, demonstrating the Group’s contribution in professional development and talent training.
The “Award Scheme for Learning Experiences” established by the Education Bureau aims to encourage outstanding or emerging practitioners to engage in learning activities in different places with a view to broadening their horizons and developing network with local and overseas industry partners within or outside Hong Kong. These awardees will serve as exemplars and role models for their respective industries and help attract the younger generation to pursue career in these fields and promote the concept of "Multiple pathways; masters of each trade".
