(14 March 2019) — Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Lukfook” / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 00590) is pleased to announce that the Group’s jewellery design “Pegasus” (shown below) received the “Merit Award” at the “International Jewellery Design Excellence Award 2019”. The winning entry, which was previously awarded in the “Chuk Kam Jewellery Design Competition 2018 - The Fashionable 18K Group”, was designed by the Group’s jewellery designer, Mr. Tse Ka Wing.

Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Group said, “The Group and our design team are both overjoyed at the news that our design piece has gained another award in an international jewellery design competition. The prize has also represented the creativity and craftsmanship of our designer’s work. Looking ahead, the Group will continue to lead the design team to take ideas from innovative concepts so as to realize more outstanding design works. ”

The “International Jewellery Design Excellence Award 2019” was jointly organized every other year by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Hong Kong Jewellers’ & Goldsmiths’ Association, the Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association, the Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers’ Association and the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong. It aims to provide an international platform for jewellery designers from worldwide to exchange experiences and honour talents. Participating designers are required to have won prior championship of any jewellery design competitions worldwide. The judging criteria include Innovation, Craftsmanship, Aesthetics, Wearability and Functionability.

	Design Concept	:
	Inspired by the Chinese idiom — “a celestial horse soaring across the sky”, the designer converts bold imaginations into glittering necklaces and earrings embellished with the image of a celestial horse flying in the sky. The piece illustrates how creativity follows one’s heart, and that creative ideas are bold, boundless and unrestrained.
