(8 June 2020) — Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Lukfook” / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 00590) is pleased to announce that the oeures designed by the Group’s jewellery design team received five awards in “Chuk Kam Jewellery Design Competition” this year. Among the winning pieces, “Henna” by Ms. Kit Chan and “Connection” by Ms. Mavis Yeung won in the “Fashionable 18K Group”; while “Generations” by Ms. Joanna Shum, “Fascinating” by Ms. Kit Chan and “White Sandalwood and Red Walls” by Ms. Daisy Wang gained three awards in the “Open Group” (Please refer to the attachment for Winners’ Showcase).
Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Group said, “The Group’s designs have been well recognised by a string of awards. Gaining five awards in the ‘Chuk Kam Jewellery Design Competition 2020’ reflected the strength of our team once again. The Group participates in different kinds of competitions every year. Our team constantly strives for perfection in terms of product design creativity, craftsmanship and quality, and will continue to dedicate their efforts on designing a wide range of jewellery series to cater for different tastes of customers.”
The 18th “Chuk Kam Jewellery Design Competition 2020” was organised by Hong Kong Jewellers’ & Goldsmiths’ Association and sponsored by Hong Kong Trade Development Council and World Gold Council. It aims to enhance Chuk Kam jewellery’s standard of creativity and craftsmanship, and meet market demand. Judging criteria include practicability, creativity, craftsmanship and aesthetics, etc.

Group : Open Group Title of Design: White Sandalwood and Red Walls Category: Bracelet and Earring Awardee: Ms. Daisy Wang, Senior Jewellery Designer Design Concept Inside the Forbidden City, one could find majestic red brick walls and gold tiles embellished the pure and innocent white sandalwood. With spring in the air, the Forbidden City is mesmerizing. The picture with red walls acting as a background to white sandalwood is the classic and aesthetic history of the Forbidden City. It is also visually pleasing. |
