(1 Aug 2019) – Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Lukfook” / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 00590) is pleased to announce that the Group has won the “Gold Award” in the “Charter on External Lighting Award Scheme” (the “Charter”) in recognition of its participation and contribution in environmental protection in Hong Kong and its commitment for switching off external lighting installations of its 21 outlets in Causeway Bay, North Point, Jordan, Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui, Tsuen Wan and Yuen Long, etc, from midnight to 7:00 a.m. on the following day, in the past year.

The “Charter on External Lighting”, launched by the Environment Bureau since 2016, aims at encouraging corporations to turn off the external lighting installations, regardless of decorative, promotional or advertising purposes, during non-business hours. By reducing the external lightings, it is expected to minimise light nuisance and reduce energy wastage as well as prevent glare from affecting road users.
