(1 Nov 2017) — Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Lukfook” / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 00590) is pleased to announce that the Group has successfully passed the audit of the “Hong Kong – Guangdong Cleaner Production Partners Recognition Scheme” co-organized by the Environment Bureau of Hong Kong, the Economic & Information Technology Commission of Guangdong Province and major trade and industry associations in Hong Kong, and once again recognized as “Hong Kong – Guangdong Cleaner Production Partners (Supply Chain)”. Meanwhile, it’s subsidiary Lee Fook Diamond & Jewellery (Guangzhou) Company Limited was awarded as “Hong Kong – Guangdong Cleaner Production Partners (Manufacturing)” for the third time.

It’s a subsidiary and a joint venture company of the Group in Nansha District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, which principally engage in the production, processing and sales of jewellery products. It attained ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems - Requirements and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certifications in 2008 and 2009 respectively for their professionally recognized standards.

About the “Hong Kong – Guangdong Cleaner Production Partners Recognition Scheme”
The Environment Bureau of Hong Kong (HKENB), in collaboration with the Economic & Information Technology Commission of Guangdong Province (GDEIC) launched a Cleaner Production Partnership Programme in April 2008. A commendation “Hong Kong - Guangdong Cleaner Production Partner (Manufacturing)” will be awarded to those Hong Kong-owned enterprises which demonstrate active participation in cleaner production so as to appreciate their contributions to the environment and to encourage their continuous efforts in cleaner production. In addition, those qualified sourcing enterprises which actively encourage their Hong Kong-owned factory suppliers partnership to adopt cleaner production will be granted a commendation “Hong Kong - Guangdong Cleaner Production Partner (Supply Chain)".
