“The Best Brand Enterprises Award 2008 (Greater China)” was organized by the Hong Kong Productivity Council. It aimed at giving credit to the achievements of corporations in the Greater China region in the areas of brand building as well as brand management system; prize winners shall serve as role model for corporations in the industries.(For the criteria, pls refer to www.hkpc.org/brandenterprise/eng/rules.html) There are five election criteria for this award including brand enterprises’ self-developing abilities, brand enterprises’ managing strategies and policy decision abilities, brand enterprises’’ authenticity management, and brand enterprises’ founding and managing abilities. The selection committee was made up of individuals with high social status, including Hong Kong Productivity Council Chairman Mr. Andrew Leung, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Chengdu) Director Mr. Richard Luk, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Shanghai) Director Mr. Patrick Chan, Hong Kong Trade and Development Council Product Promotion Director Mr. Ralph Chow and Hong Kong Brand Development Council Chairman Ms. Shirley Chan, etc.
