(16 February 2017) — Luk Fook Holdings (International) Limited (“Lukfook” / the “Group”) (Stock Code: 00590) is pleased to announce that the Group was awarded the “SE Supporter 2016” logo under the “SE Supporter Award Scheme”, in recognition of the Group’s contribution in promoting ethical consumption and supporting social enterprises.

Mr. Wong Wai Sheung, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Group, said, “Upholding the philosophy of contributing to the community, the Group is always proactive in fulfilling its corporate social responsibility. Local social enterprises have spared no effort in caring for the community by promoting environmental protection and aiding the underprivileged. The Group hopes to support and promote ethical consumption by purchasing social enterprises’ products and services, in order to create employment and training opportunities for the underprivileged and to enhance social harmony. ”

The “SE Supporter Award Scheme” was launched by Fullness Social Enterprises Society Limited in 2015, aiming to encourage the strategic partnership among the organizations/corporations and social enterprises, foster corporate social responsibility (CSR), and promote and support social enterprises and ethical consumption to build a more harmonious society. The Award Scheme introduced the “SE Supporter 2016” and “SE Supporter + 2016” logos to recognise the organizations/corporations nominated by social enterprises for their outstanding performance in promoting ethical consumption and supporting social enterprises, enhance the mutual understanding between organizations/corporations and social enterprises and create room for their collaborations to cater for community needs.
